E-Cards

E-cards are fabulous for sending special messages across the Internet. In a sense they're the procrastinator's best friend, eliminating the need to go out and buy a card and put it in the mail in time to reach the other party by a certain date. Of course the only snag is that you must remember to send the e-card on time.

If you send an e-card for romantic reasons, you can't use it as substitute for a hard copy card if it's a special occasion. Most people aren't going to be impressed by an e-card greeting on their birthday if they're expecting a well-chosen present and champagne. You can certainly send one, but think of it as a lead-up to the main event.

If you really want to impress someone, hand him or her a gift that's wrapped in gorgeous paper and tied with a bow, accompanied by a matching greeting card.
